ELECTRONIC COMMERCE WITH INTEREC
A basic system for electronic commerce(e-commerce) is based in different parts:
- Data base motor.
- Data base for Articles/Products, Clients and Orders.
- Ordering system.
- Payment Gateway.
There are basically two ways of treating this information:
- 1.The easy way by implementing, statically, or with expensive projects for updating the products. Within this range we have on the market different "prefabricated offers", which might not provide flexibility but are a quick way of creating our products base.
- 1.On the other hand, a more complex way of implementation, based on data base systems, will allow an easier handling and updating of the products in real time, as well as greater flexibility when having to settle the operative parameters for the sale.
This way the service can be divided in modules and adapted to the clients media, and use it from a WEBSITE to consult and update the products, or doing it from your local application, importing the data bases from the server to the data base you use locally.
The data bases with the best support for this include dBase, Oracle, Sybase,mSQL, mySQL, PostgreSQL, MS Access, Adabas and many others. A system based on data bases that can be personalized are very flexible and basically work with the following modules:
- Base of Articles /Products.
- Data base of Parameters, for example maximum amount of a buy, geographical zones, presentation colours, etc.
- Client base where all the buyers are registered.
- Order base.
FREQUENT QUESTIONS
How does it work?
After the buyer has selected the article or service he wants to buy, a questionaire will be presented, where he has to introduce the data of his credit card, number, expiry date and name.
The amount is sent directly from the previous CGI, not giving the client the possibility of carrying out any modification.
Both the user and the shop, receive a notification of the state of the transaction. This result can easily be modified for each shop.
There are basically the following possibilities and variations:
- Add the result of the transaction to the folder for orders generated by the previous shopping-cart application.
- Send the result by email to the shop.
- Send the result by means of a call to a specific port of another system.
- Send the result as POST to another CGI in the system.
The last one is the most used when you wish to habilitate the access to a specific product or service on-line, for example on-line sales of software without physical expedition.
In this case the last CGI will habilitate the download of the specific product if the collection was successful.
Can I personalize the collection form?
Yes. This is in a CGI, from which you will get a copy for your own directory CGI-BIN if you wish, being able to put on the same your corporative colours, logos, information, etc.Can I decide the behaviour of the rejections?
Yes. You can determine by the modification of this CGI the establishment of your own operation control and filter if you wish.
For example a normal filter is that you cannot use the same card number after three consecutive failed tries, or three failed tries within the same connection.
You can also decide the type of actuation in these cases, as you wish, for example deactivate new tries for this connection during one day, a week or indefinitely, adding the data of the connection, card number, etc. to a filter folder.
Which risk does this apply to the shop?
No risk. The system works exactly the same as if you had a TPV terminal in your shop connected to your bank.
As soon as you receive the OK and the authorisation number, you have made the charge.
The possibilities of fraud, close to technologically impossible because of the systems characteristics, will not affect the shop.
Which guarantees does the client get?
We advise you to inform your client on your website that he will be brought through a secure server, where all the information that travels on the internet will be encrypted.
You can also add additional measures for the clients confidence, like the fact that no one, the shop, the supplier of the services (us) will have access to the data of the credit card and that these will disappear completely as soon as the payment has been carried out.
The system is surer for the buyer, that handing over his credit card physically in any shop.
How long time does it take for the shop to have the money at its disposal?
Your bank will receive it normally within the following 24 or 48 hours.
Can I charge periodic instalments to my clients?
Yes. This service is not included as standard in the basic pack, but if you wish, a robot from our secure server, will take care of reading your client data base, expiry dates, amounts and collection data and will carry out an automatical charge to these clients, sending you the results of the transactions.
This system require that you have a data base or an exchange folder agreed with our technologists for its operation.
Which is the price for using this service?
INTEREC does not charge any additional fee for the use of this service.
The service of charging credit cards on-line is a service with added value to our basic hosting pack. The bank system will charge you a commission from the amount of the sale.
Which credit cards are supported?
Actually the cards supported are VISA, MasterCard and all types of 4B.
Additionally American Express is also supported.
Can I operate with other currencies?
Yes. Our system is multi currency, and the exchange values are updated every day from Monday to Friday.
Anyway you should keep in mind, that when you use any multi currency system, there can be small fluctuations between the given value, if it was taken at closing time the previous day and the charge is carried out on the day of the buy. Normally you can add to your page of the shopping-cart a command or link for foreign currencies, if your client wishes this.
For this we offer you the conversion of 50 different currencies.
If I do not have a bank in my location to operate with, is there any alternative problem?
Even though we are principally technological mediators and not financial, there are cases where special forms are used with some clients.
Please do not hesitate in contacting us about your specific case.
Which type of products can I sell on-line?
In principle any product. Our system is a collection service in this case, and therefore it does not matter if you use a TPV or an automatic cashier to carry out your sales.
However, it is strictly forbidden to charge our server with pornographic material, sales of illegal articles, etc.
Our company does not assume any responsibility of the products sold by our clients using this payment system.
If I already have my hosting with another company, do I need to change servers?
No. You can use only the payment system if you wish, tell us how and where you want us to send you the answer.
Making a POST to your page in our secure server is enough, you can maintain the rest of the pages (except from the payment CGI) in any place.
The answer will be send back to you to a CGI belonging to you who listens.
Which data do I send and receive in an operation?
As obligatory data, you should send our CGI a reference of the operation and the amount.
The reference of the operation can be any alphanumerical row with the characters 0-9 and A-Z, both in capital letters and small letters and without spaces. This reference is the one which will be used in your CGI in the part of the shopping-cart to identify the operation. The amount should by send without any formatting; it's to say without commas or punctuations, in numeric format.
You should point out the type of currency when operating with other currencies.
For this there are three identification digits for the used currency.
The data that you receive are: operation reference (the same you sent), the status of the operation, and an authorization number.
The status of the operation will be OK when the operation was successful and KO if it failed, together with an explanation.
The authorisation number is generated by the card system and serves as a tracking number for the operation for all your contacts about this transaction with the bank.
How long does it take to implement the system?
Depending on the geographical location, and the complexity or your shopping-cart, but the payment module for payment with credit cards can be available in less than 48 hours.
How to contract the service?
Send us a mail with your needs, or contract our basic module which includes this service automatically.
For the use, and depending on the localisation, it is possible that you have to make a contract in the bank.
Anyway this procedure is easy and FREE for you.

Most of the systems based on SSL (Secure Server Layer) have the only advantage of encrypting the data when they travel on the internet, using different servers which make sure that the information is illegible if it is taken through any "snif" (program for visualisation of information traffic) on the internet.
